Their inspiration was the power and beauty of nature plus the stories of chivalry from the Middle Ages. Each week we examine different groups of artists, focusing on palette, narrative, technique, inspiration and influence. European Romantic art within each country is specific to the artist, such as Goya, Friderich, Delacroix, Turner, Constable, Fuseli and Bierstadt.
