Watercolor Exploration & Beyond
In-Person Class | Available (Membership Required)
Join us to explore and learn about watercolors. Students of all experience levels—whether beginner, intermediate or advanced—will learn about different watercolor paints, techniques and media with which they may experiment. Based on class interest and experience, in addition to the topics listed below, we may also include some or all of the following: wet into wet, achieving gradients with value, opposite colors and close colors, drawing a frame on a composition, granulation, watercolor powders, fish, still life or flowers.
Materials:
For the first class, students should bring two small containers for water (or a double watercolor bucket), towels/rags, newspaper, basic brushes, ordinary paper and real watercolor paper. The instructor will bring additional supplies to class and then discuss other materials and recommendations.
