Go behind the scenes and learn what is involved in caring for sick, injured, or orphaned raptors of all species and all ages. Attendees will learn about different species’ individual characteristics and temperament. Who is smart and who not so? What are some survival characteristics? What do diurnal and nocturnal mean? Finally, we will watch several videos showing fostering chicks and building new relationships with others of their species.

Dody Wyman
Dody Wyman’s career was business, but her passion was raptors. She formed a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and received permits to rehabilitate raptors and educate the public with special un-releasable birds. She served ten years on the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council’s (IWRC) board of directors and continues to serve on the IWRC Course Development Committee. She represented the IWRC on a panel discussing wildlife rehabilitation standards at the Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C.
