Renate Reinsve (as actor, Nora Borg), Stellan Skarsgard (as Gustav Borg), Inga Lilleaas (as historian, Agnes Bord Peterson), Elle Fanning (as Rachel Kemp), and Anders Danielsen (as Jakob, Nora’s theatre colleague and romantic interest). Gustav attempts to re-enter the lives of his two daughters, Nora and Agnes, after divorcing his wife, Sissel, and leaving Norway to work on his artistic career, abandoning his daughters. Bitterly estranged from their father, Nora and Agnes have to struggle with their resentment as their father slowly tries to find his way back into their lives, returning to claim his house. Hidden or suppressed volatile inter-generational family histories erupt throughout the story: a traumatic, emotional connection between Gustav and Nora emerges as he struggles to make a film about it -- a reperative way forward for them?

mark wenzel has been a member of the Wayne State University Philosophy Department since 1998. He teaches courses in Global Ethics, Contemporary Moral Issues, Feminist Philosophy, Philosophy of Arts. He developed a course in Classical Indian Philosophy, which was offered Fall 2023. mark has twice taught classes in Feminist Philosophy at the Huron Valley Women’s Prison. In the Fall of 2025, Wayne State University launched its own College in Prison Program at Macomb Correctional Facility.
