The relationship between depression and Alzheimer’s disease, with a focus on how symptoms of depression can sometimes mimic dementia or early Alzheimer’s disease will be explored. Presenters will discuss common overlapping symptoms, differences in clinical presentation, and the importance of accurate assessment and diagnosis. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how mood disorders can impact cognitive functioning and the role early identification plays in improving patient outcomes and treatment planning.

Richard Jackson
Dr. Richard Jackson is a psychiatrist with more than 35 years of experience providing compassionate mental health care to patients. Throughout his career, he has maintained a strong background in clinical research while continuing to actively treat patients within his practice. He is passionate about staying engaged and involved in his work and community. Outside of medicine, Jackson is also known for his Elvis impression.
Nicole Jackson
Dr. Nicole Jackson is a clinical psychologist specializing in the care of children, teens, young adults, and families. She takes a collaborative approach to therapy, helping patients and families better understand challenges, build on strengths, and develop practical coping skills. Jackson creates a supportive environment focused on emotional growth and healthy relationships. She also provides psychological testing to help clarify learning, attention, mood, and behavioral concerns and guide treatment recommendations.
