In the United States, mahjong is most often played by “American” mahjong rules. However, there are many versions of mahjong especially throughout Asian countries. Join Elizabeth Urban for this series in order to learn how to play Mahjong the original Chinese way. Mahjong is a wonderful mix of strategy and luck of the draw. Learn mahjong history, the Chinese game basics, how to buy the right set and where to go online for useful information. Once you learn the standardized Mahjong Competition Rules (MCR) you’ll be ready to play any version of the game. No experience necessary.
