Class | Registration opens Monday, March 16, 2026 10:00 AM EDT
Explore the fundamentals of costume design for theatrical productions, with special attention to the unique challenges of outdoor venues. Using Royal Oak’s Shakespeare in the Park production of Macbeth as a case study, participants will view design renderings and learn how a clear visual concept guides costume choices. The class will also address practical considerations such as materials, durability, weather, budget, and construction needs when designing costumes for a specific show.
