S2635 Out of Africa's Karen Blixen: A Farmer in Africa and a Master Storyteller

Class | Registration opens Monday, March 16, 2026 10:00 AM EDT

Karen Blixen never did anything halfway. She had a farm in Africa from 1914 to 1932, and, using the pen name, Isak Dinesen, she became a successful writer from the mid-1930s until her death in 1962. Her legendary life was one of romance and love, loss and betrayal, success and failure, and wild adventure. Let's see what we can learn from the life and times of this extraordinary woman.
