Therapy dogs provide support in many settings. Participants will learn the differences between service, therapy, and emotional support dogs, as well as the training, testing, and certification required. The session highlights the benefits of therapy dog visits, the remarkable abilities dogs naturally possess, and the importance of the bond between dog and handler. Attendees will gain a deeper appreciation for these incredible animals and the positive impact they have on the people they serve. There may be therapy dogs in attendance.

Diane Schuler has many years of experience with dog rescue, training, and general handling. She has had 3 therapy dogs of her own and has been involved in Therapy Dog work for 25 years. Schuler now teaches therapy dog classes and is a certified evaluator for The Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs.
