S2618 Cardiovascular Conditions in the Older Adult

This class explores common cardiovascular conditions that affect older adults, including strategies to reduce risk both before and after diagnosis. Participants will learn how these conditions develop, the symptoms to watch for, and the basics of evaluation and treatment. Topics include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and aortic stenosis. The session provides practical, evidence-based information to help adults understand, manage, and support heart health.

Diane Klingler
Diane Klingler, RN, MSN, ANP-BC. Cardiac nurse practitioner works at Henry Ford Health Cardiology Clinic West Bloomfield Hospital. Klingler has worked for Henry Ford Health for her entire nursing career from bedside nursing on the cardiovascular floor and ICU and then returned to the cardiovascular floor following graduate school working as a nurse practitioner. Klingler then transitioned to the clinic setting where she has worked for 22 years with some intermittent time taken off for other projects. She is married and has two young adult children.
