F2514 Roy Reuther and the UAW: Fighting for Workers and Civil Rights

Class | Registration opens Monday, September 15, 2025 10:00 AM EDT

Explore the remarkable life and legacy of Roy Reuther—labor leader, civil rights advocate, and political force within the UAW. Through a dynamic presentation, this class will trace Reuther’s role in the historic Flint sit-down strike, his work as the UAW’s political director, and his tireless efforts to expand voter participation and support civil rights legislation. Learn how Roy Reuther, often in the shadow of his brother Walter, helped shape both the labor movement and key social justice battles of the 20th century.
