S2547 Al Kaline's Last Bat Boy
Class | Registration opens Monday, March 10, 2025 10:00 AM EST
Growing up in the Corktown area of Detroit, just one block south of Tiger Stadium, Dennis Clotworthy lived every young boy’s dream of becoming a Detroit Tigers bat boy. Not just any bat boy, but “Al Kaline’s bat boy” in 1974, Kaline’s final season of major league baseball. Clotworthy will present endless stories of becoming friends with many members of the 1968 World Series Championship Team and the memories he treasures as he still pinches himself to this day. The presenter shares what it was like for him, as a teenager, to be in the clubhouse, in the dugout, and on the field. This is an encore offering of a popular class.
