Karen McDevitt is Associate Professor of Teaching for Wayne State University’s Media Arts and Studies program. She teaches Film Theory, Media Analysis & Criticism, New Media Practices, New Media Theory and Introduction to M.A. Studies in Communication. McDevitt currently serves on the Wayne State University Press editorial board of directors and, for many years, served as an executive member of the board of directors of the Friends of the Detroit Film Theatre.
