S2529 What's Happening in the Michigan Legislature?

Class | Registration opens Monday, March 10, 2025 10:00 AM EST

After a very eventful “lame-duck” session, the Michigan Legislature is back to work with a reversal of fortunes in the House and the Senate holding on to a Democrat majority at least until 2026. Hear from Mallory McMorrow, the current Senate Majority Whip, what really happened during “lame-duck,” what important legislation is in the works, what new laws might be coming, and perhaps even what it’s like to be interviewed on MSNBC. Governing from a split body politic is yet another new experience for our state senator.

McMorrow, Mallory
Mallory McMorrow

Mallory's status as a State Senator and now as a nationally known activist make her a most desirable speaker for SOAR. The membership is very interested in politics - local, state and national, and I know personally what a wonderful speaker she is.
