This class focuses on the anatomy and physiology of the throat and the voice box. The various conditions that affect these organs as people age will be discussed. Gardner will describe several medical and surgical remedies for the more common conditions that laryngologists see in daily practice.

Glendon Gardner

Dr. Gardner is a Senior Staff Laryngologist in the Department of Otolaryngology with Henry Ford Health. He is a Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at Wayne State University. He regularly cares for touring singers performing with the Michigan Opera Theater, the DSO and at other local theaters and locally based singers and other voice professionals. He conducts research, lectures nationally and internationally and publishes regularly on topics related to the larynx and voice. He is the bassist and harmonica player for Klezundheit and the Temple Beth El Shabbat Band.
