Follow along on the five-year, multi-phased restoration project of Phyllis Ferguson and Tim Phillips as they restore a 90-plus year-old rock motor court on Route 66 in Springfield, Missouri. The Rockwood Motor Court now operates as a tourist court for visitors from all over the world and is the oldest operating court/motel on Route 66.

Phyllis Ferguson is a long-time historic preservation and neighborhood revitalization advocate. Representing one of the oldest residential and commercial areas of Springfield as a City Council member, historic preservation and neighborhood revitalization have long been her passions. Born in St. Louis, Missouri; she has lived in Springfield, Missouri since 1976. Ferguson has served on state and local historic preservation boards and has completed several local restoration projects, including her former pre-Civil War residence. She and her husband, Tim Phillips, own and operate Rockwood Motor Court on Route 66.
