Every other year, the Junior League of Detroit selects a prominent estate in the area and curates a phenomenal team of local and national interior designers to transform the home into a Designers’ Show House. This year’s residence will not fail to impress with a roster of creative decorators who will transform the space into a showpiece of design. Join fellow SOAR members on a private, docent-led tour.

The Junior League of Detroit is pleased to announce the 25th and final Designers’ Show House is located at 315 Lakeland Street in the City of Grosse Pointe.

The house is a nearly 8,400 sq ft Tudor home designed by renowned architect George D. Mason and built in 1929 for Dr. J. Milton Robb.

Some notable features include an intricately carved main stairway, a wood-paneled library, beautiful ceiling details, capacious terrace room, and beautiful leaded glass windows and doors throughout.

The JLD has been serving the Detroit community for over 100 years and has completed 53 major projects in and around Detroit, awarded more than $250,000 in community grants and presented $135,000 in scholarships. Since 1976, the Designers’ Show Houses have allowed us to raise more than $4.5 million for programs, projects, and partnerships in Detroit. Proceeds from the 2024 Designers’ Show House will support the JLD’s partnership with Brilliant Detroit, a nonprofit organization that addresses early childhood development and kindergarten readiness. The Show House will be open to the public from May 4 through May 19, 2024 and docent-led group tours will be offered outside of public hours for a more curated experience. Group guests will be able to tour the decorated house and landscaped grounds, shop at our Garden Market and enjoy our Café.
