This class will examine the law, politics, history, and forces behind current events as they relate to (im)migration in the United States. This will include a focus on recent changes in the law — regulatory, statutory, and case law — as well as the manner in which the law is enforced and interpreted. As it is election season, there may also be a discussion of ideas/proposals from candidates seeking elected office.
