F2226 HARDING, COOLIDGE, AND HOOVER: REPUBLICANISM IN THE 1920S
Class | This class is completed
The 1920s saw the return of Republican conservatism to national dominance. Republicans promised a New Era of permanent prosperity by pursuing pro-business policies that favored the wealthy. Many of the Progressive reforms were repealed or allowed to lapse. De-regulation became the order of the day: laissez-faire became the prevailing faith. Then came 1929 and much of the era suddenly appeared to be based on allusions. Join Mr. Zellers in an exploration of the times.
