S1155 BEYOND THE BINARY: GENDER IDENTITY AND THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY

Class | This class is completed

Gender has traditionally been discussed in terms of male and female roles in society. Today, more and more people recognize the existence of multiple gender identities, including those who consider themselves non-binary (neither male nor female). In this engaging, interactive session, Susan Knoppow, the parent of a non-binary adult child, will help untangle this complex and confusing issue and discuss what it means for individuals, families, communities, and the English language.
