The 155th Anniversary of the Battle of Perryville in October of 2017 brings to mind the role Louisville experienced during the Civil War. Join local author Bryan Bush as he transports you back to the years 1861-1865. View pictures, artifacts, and hear about the interaction between the commanders, soldiers, and how Louisville continued to maintain her grace throughout the conflict of the Civil War.

  • Parking is available by paid meter on Mohamed Ali, First Street, and Chestnut Street. Additional paid parking is available in the YMCA Garage located between Chestnut Street and Mohamed Ali on Second Street. Enter Ahrens Educational Resource Center through the front doors located on First Street. Please join Bryan in Room 105 on the first floor.

Bryan Bush is a native of Louisville, holding a Master of Arts in Western Civilization History with a particular interest in the Civil War. A prolific author, Bryan has published over 13 titles and is a member of many Civil War historical preservation societies and round tables. he is currently a board member for the Louisville Historical Leauge and the official Civil War tour guide for Cave Hill Cemetary.
