Calling all Grade 4 & 5 Trailblazers!
IST's First Band term is set to begin Monday, November 13. The cost associated with joining band is a tuition fee of $575 per term, & a supply fee of $100 due at registration. There are no separate fees other than the cost to rent an instrument through Strait Music.
Band will meet at Hudson Bend on Mondays after school from 3:45 - 5:00pm. Woodwinds Sectional Practice will be held on Tuesdays from 3:45 - 5:00pm. Brass Sectional Practice will be held on Thursdays from 3:45 - 5:00pm. It is important that your child attend consistently so that they progress at the same pace as their bandmates.
The 6 instruments being offered this year are as follows:
Woodwinds: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone
Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium
For rentals, an account has been established with Strait Music. Mr. Forbes has set up the instrument options, along with the accessory packages that students will need. Parents, please use the portal to view costs and rent your student's instrument - under district, select "private school" before finding our school's name.
We are hoping to get a day scheduled in the next coming weeks for them to conduct an instrument trial day where students can test each of the 6 instruments. We will keep you updated on this.
Term 3 tuition will be billed via TADs accounts.
