Democracy '26 Series

The 2026 midterm elections provide an ideal opportunity to explore how our democratic system functions, the roles citizens play in the electoral process and what elections results may mean for New Hampshire and the nation. This four-part series brings together respected organizations and experienced presenters to provide a nonpartisan examination of the election process before and after New Hampshire voters head to the polls. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of election integrity, informed civic engagement, and the broader political landscape shaped by the midterm elections.

Session Two

Election procedures evolve. New Hampshire has seen significant changes in the past three years, but the League of Women Voters' goal remains the same: protecting voters' right to have their voices heard at the ballot box. Liz Tentarelli, president of the non-partisan League of Women Voters of New Hampshire, will tell us about the League's founding and mission, particularly as it relates to the evolution of voting rights in our country. She will also explain new procedures all NH voters need to understand to cast a ballot and will answer questions about voting.
