Introduction to Anatomy with Jorge Vara Hernandez

The first in a series of three, this course explores human anatomy as a foundation for stronger figure drawing and overall composition. Students will study the skeletal and muscular structure of the torso to better understand form, and proportion while applying these concepts to artistic practice. Emphasis is placed on using anatomy as a dynamic compositional element to create more expressive and compelling artwork.
- At least one anatomy class is required for foundation certificate students and recommended for master certificate students.
Students are recommended to take all three classes (Fall, Winter, Spring).
Please note that this class begins on week 2 of the fall term.
