From Seeing to Feeling: Abstract Landscape Painting with Karen Loehr
Workshop | Available
This immersive 2-day workshop explores landscape as emotion, memory, texture, and atmosphere rather than literal representation. We will use nature as our source, but will use approaches that require us to break out of what we see and into what we perceive allowing us to create expressive abstract landscapes. By adding and subtracting materials, working quickly, the workshop will challenge us to go beyond just what we see move us toward a more responsive, internal idea of landscape.
This workshop is good for anyone who wants to move beyond a literal interpretation of landscape. Some painting experience recommended but not required.
