Inside-Out: Inspired by Anatomy with Samantha Stover
Class | Registration opens 3/2/2026 12:00 AM EST
This class explores how to transform our perception of internal and external anatomical structures into visual documentations and psychological narratives. We will find inspiration in human and animal forms, developing multi-layered artworks evocative of mortality but grounded in the fascinating patterns that flow through organic subjects both animate and inanimate.
This class involves lectures, field-trips, demonstrations, and in-studio practice with live models. Students will develop a personalized series of small compositions as well as several completed works over the 10-week term. This class is designed for artists with an interest in representing the human form beyond observation into a more metaphysical invention.
