Pencil to Paint: Using Acrylics with Courtney Applequist

Class | Available

There are many ways to approach starting a painting. In this course, students will develop a thorough understanding of how to lay the groundwork for a painting before moving into acrylic paint. Students will learn how to create preparatory drawings, focusing on form and planes, and thereafter learn to reference them as they start painting. Students will explore the properties and possibilities specific to this acrylic through deliberate experimentation.

This intermediate class is for students who have completed beginning drawing and painting and have a solid understanding of composition, drawing & color mixing.
