Linocut Printing with Trisha Gupta
Class | Available
Learn about the world of woodblock printmaking in this hands-on introductory class, where we’ll dive into Japanese, Indian, and linocut traditions. You’ll learn how to develop an image for printmaking, transfer your design to a block, carve it, and finally print it—both by hand and on the press. Throughout the course, we’ll study the work of artists who work in both realistic and abstract styles, and discuss best practices for carving and choosing tools. This class will help you build a strong foundation in woodblock as an expressive art form.
