This class shall identify and analyze key news stories which raise serious legal, political, cultural issues in the United States and abroad. Reports from major media, e.g. NYT, The Guardian, Pro Publica, Fox, MSNOW, are possible but not the only sources. Dr. McDaniel-Miccio will examine specific stories impact on American & international positions in both U.S. stateside and global communities. As with all McDaniel-Miccio’s courses civility is key but so is maintaining a sense of humor. Join us for what shall be an exciting excursion into the news…and the world

Dr. McDaniel-Miccio is an internationally recognized professor, attorney, scholar, and lecturer. The Irish Law Society conferred its human right award because of McDaniel-Miccio’s precedent setting litigation and policy work which successfully challenged sex and gender discrimination in the U.S. and E.U. Her scholarship has been cited in U.S. federal court opinions, international treaties and policy enactments in the U.S. as well as EU. She brings not only her intelligence into the classroom but a well-seasoned sense of humor.
