C-W3 America at 250

8 Week Class | Registration opens Saturday, August 1, 2026 12:00 AM

This course will reflect on the creation and development of American democracy on our 250th anniversary.  We will ask the fundamental questions “where have we been?” and “where are we going?”  An attempt will be made to further our appreciation of our revolution and constitutional system.  The historical attempts to form a “more perfect union” will be tracked and investigated.  Together we will discuss both positive and negative American contributions to the global community and raise the question of America’s ultimate legacy to the world.  Discussions will include elements of history, politics, economics, sociology, and technology.  Hopefully, this course will be interactive, respectful, and thought-provoking.
