Join us for an online version of the Labor Leadership Academy Internal Organizing class.
This class will meet for 3 consecutive Wednesdays on May 6, 13, 20 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm CST. This is a pilot program and will count towards your Labor Leadership Academy certificate.
The class will discuss ways to educate, organize, and mobilize the members. Topics include collective action around grievances, confronting and overcoming divisions such as those based on race, gender, or immigration status, one-on-one conversations with apathetic or anti-union members, organizing contract campaigns, and organizing in support of bargaining for the common good.
- Registrations are per-individual, and are not to be shared. By registering for this class you agree not to share the Zoom link with anyone else. All 3 sessions required for certificate.
Steven Ashby
Prof. Ashby is a full clinical professor, with a Ph.D. in U.S. History from the University of Chicago, who has been teaching at the School of Labor and Employment Relations since 2007.
