Debora Stewart - Floral Florish, Abstracting Nature
Abstract-impressionist artist, Debora Stewart, will share her expertise and techniques with you by exploring different ways to express nature. She will help you loosen up, get more in touch with your feelings, find your style and explore different ways of being creative utilizing florals.
NOTE FOR ALL IAPS WORKSHOPS: You must bring your own portable easel, and a board to support your paper. The room will be set with chairs which can be moved around to suit your preference. You can stand at an easel and use the table for your supplies, or you can bring a table easel and sit to work. Rubbing Alcohol will be provided for the students' use.
IMPORTANT: Please bring a plastic or cloth sheet to place under your easel, or table, to protect the hotel's carpet.
Materials for participants:

sketch book and graphite soft pastels
One sheet of Rives BFK 175 paper or similar
Liquitex Clear Gesso if you want to create your own surface or
one or two sheets of textured pastel paper that will take an underpainting
One sheet of Canson Mi Tientes
Instructor will provide:
Fluid acrylics, inks and a selection of drawing materials
Photos of flowers, nature and/or landscapes
