Curious Creatures returns for another outdoor integrated arts camp for children ages 3-4!  Led and curated by teaching artists in the field of early childhood, this play-based camp integrates drawing, sculpture dance, movement, theater and music.  Over the six weeks children will strengthen their social emotional awareness, executive functioning, and communication as they participate in an emergent curriculum centered around story, music and art and their unique strengths.  Each day will also include snack and water play in our beautiful and shaded backyard garden.  In fact, weather permitting, all activities take place outdoors.
Each week parents will receive a weekly recap of photos and videos of our creative projects, silly dances, and delightful discoveries.  Some past projects included creating homes for animals using large blocks, creating instruments out of recycled materials, inventing animal dance moves, and painting bird houses.
This is a drop off program led by teachers with experience supporting children and families with separation.  Our teachers create a nurturing and safe environment for taking safe risks and approach children with a gentle child-like approach.  We aim to be an inclusive program and make space to check in with families about the particular needs, learning styles, and strengths of their children.
