Students will learn basic ballet vocabulary and class structure. There will be an emphasis on correct posture and positioning. Students will focus on developing ballet technique and reinforce their physical strength, flexibility, and musicality. Individual expression through dance is encouraged at this level. Please note that students may be placed in class based on their ability instead of their age. All students must bring ballet shoes and leotards; gear details will be given when registration is completed. Class is 45 minutes.

  • Please note that some students may be placed into classes based on ability, instead of age.
  • If a class does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, GHMS will notify parents one week in advance of the beginning of class.

  • Students must wear their class gear at all times. Girls should wear a pink leotard, pink or skin toned footed ballet tights, and pink or skin toned ballet slippers (canvas or leather). Boys should wear black tights and white t-shirt with black ballet slippers (canvas or leather). Children who are gender expansive may wear whichever suits them. Tights and shoes must match (i.e. pink shoes/pink tights or skin tone shoes/skin tone tights). Pre-ballet - Pink
