Students continue to learn ballet technique and vocabulary while they develop strength, flexibility, and musicality. There will be a continued emphasis on correct posture, positioning, and ballet steps.  More complex step combinations are introduced at this level. All students must bring ballet shoes and leotards; gear details will be given when registration is completed. Class is 45 minutes.

  • Please note that some students may be placed into classes based on ability instead of age.
  • If a class does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, GHMS will notify parents one week in advance of the beginning of class.

  • Students must wear their class gear at all times. Girls should wear a light blue leotard, pink or skin toned footed ballet tights, and pink or skin toned ballet slippers (canvas or leather). Boys should wear black tights and white t-shirt with black ballet slippers (canvas or leather). Children who are gender expansive may wear whichever suits them. Note- tights and shoes must match (i.e. pink shoes/pink tights or skin tone shoes/skin tone tights). For the leotard we recommend: https://www.capezio.com/short-sleeve-cotton-leotard-girls.
