In Junior Ballet, students will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work, and grand allegro and coda will be introduced. Emphasis is on building stamina and developing different balletic qualities. To join Junior Ballet, students are required to have the necessary strength to begin pointe work. Please note that students may be placed in class based on their ability instead of their age. All students must bring ballet shoes and leotards; gear details will be given when registration is completed. Class is 60 minutes.

  • If a class does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, GHMS will notify parents one week in advance of the beginning of class.
  • Girls should wear a burgundy ballet leotard, pink tights, and pink slippers. Boys should wear a white fitted shirt, black shorts or tights and black slippers.
  • Hair must be worn in a traditional ballet bun at the crown of the head. Short hair must be clipped away from the face.
