Explore the exciting possibilities of printmaking as you learn to create unique monoprints using Gelli Plates. Using the surface of the plate, you will explore various printing techniques, including layering, wiping, texture manipulation, stencils, and image transfer to produce stunning, vibrant prints. No experience necessary, some supplies included.

  • Teens 15+ welcome.
  • Gelli plate any size (Can be found online at Michaels, Dick Blick, Amazon), if you buy small plates maybe buy a couple of plates.
Printing paper bigger than the size of your plate to allow for a border, could be fun to print on book pages or vintage graphics.
Found materials to add texture (netting, bubble wrap, leaves, anything with a raised surface, some will be provided by instructor).
Found images for image transfer (Some will be provided by instructor).
Please email jmccoy@flintarts.org for any questions about supplies.

Bring any fun materials you are curious about printing with -- dried flowers, string, fun papers ect. Anything could be a fun experiment to propose to your instructor!
