This course teaches the fundamentals of painting forms with light and color values and techniques. All subject matter is welcome, from landscapes to the figure. The course will focus on solving complex painting problems through the uses of color, value and tonal relationships, and impressionistic methods. Supplies not included.

  • Teens 15+ welcome.
  • Please bring a full palette of color, bristle brushes in a variety of sizes, 1 appropriate support and a good source to paint from.

Timothy Widener earned his BFA in painting and his MA in Art History from Michigan State University. His studio practice focuses on life drawing and plein-air painting. Tim exhibits his work nationally.
