Lost wax casting is a staple of the jewelry making world, where pieces of wax are carved, machined, and manipulated by different means. The wax model is then encased in a specialized plaster investment. The wax is melted and burned out in a kiln; the empty mold is then flooded with molten metal (usually silver) to transform your original wax form into a solid metal piece. Wax and sterling silver will be provided in tuition cost.
