Practice the art of controlling the interaction of clay and fire. Students will learn to run the kiln and experiment using various combustion situations to create marvelous surface effects on clay.

  • Ceramic class fees include one bag of clay. Additional bags may be purchased from the instructor during class.

    Please bring a pottery tool kit, which includes a sponge, a wood rib, at least one ribbon loop tool, a metal needle tool, a wood modeling tool, a metal scraper rib and a cutting wire, see link below for one of many available kits.

Jeff Hageman has a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in ceramics. Jeff specializes in teapots and sculptures constructed from thrown parts.
