Students will learn the basic skills needed to throw clay on the pottery wheel. Fundamental techniques will be demonstrated and practiced as we develop toward more advanced methods.

  • Ceramic class fees include one bag of clay. Additional bags may be purchased from the instructor during class.

    Please bring a pottery tool kit, which includes a sponge, a wood rib, at least one ribbon loop tool, a metal needle tool, a wood modeling tool, a metal scraper rib and a cutting wire, see link below for one of many available kits.

Jeff Hageman has a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in ceramics. Jeff specializes in teapots and sculptures constructed from thrown parts.
